This video doesn't actually show me tanning the deer, just how I plan to use the deer hide given to my husband about 2 thanksgivings ago, and then tanned by me in the basement using a kit. I plan to make myself 1 pair of nearly-knee high moccasins. This video is how I ended up laying out the different parts of the pattern on the hide--not optimal but working around the size of the parts, hair direction, holes in the hide, and thickness of leather it's the best that I could come up with. Expect a while before I actually get another video of the progress put up, I expect it to be a bit of an effort to sew through two thicknesses of leather! Thanks for watching!
